Vastra by Monty was born from a passion for fashion and a deep love for Rajasthan's rich cultural heritage. Monika Sangwan, alias Monty, the creative force behind the brand, brings her roots and experiences to life through every piece of clothing.

Monika's journey began at BITS Pilani, Rajasthan, where her quest for knowledge took shape. Later, her pursuit of excellence led her to complete an MBA in Marketing and HR at Vanasthali Vidhyapith, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Her early years spent in Rajasthan ignited a love for its vibrant culture, a sentiment that remains close to her heart.

After venturing into a career in Hospitality Administration, Monika's life took a turn when she moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, after marriage. The warm climate inspired her to embrace cotton clothing, and the idea for Vastra by Monty began to take shape.

In 2021, motherhood beckoned, and Monika decided to focus on her family. However, her entrepreneurial spirit couldn't stay idle. She channeled her passion for fashion and her love for Rajasthan into creating a unique clothing brand. Vastra by Monty was born, with its designs inspired by Monika herself.
